Indian metalheads are gearing up for their most anticipated event of the year, Bangalore Open Air 2025. To be held this Saturday, February 8 at Royal Orchid Resort in Yelahanka, the festival is being headlined by Ukraine progressive metal powerhouse Jinjer and American prog veterans Cynic.

Running in its 12th edition, the event will also feature, Swedish death metallers Necrophobic, Greek thrash metal band Suicide Angels, and Stockholm horror synth-wave act Midnight Danger. Mumbai extreme metal godfathers Demonic Resurrection join as part of its 25th Anniversary lineup of shows. We also have Bengaluru’s own Inner Sanctum, Pune thrashers Kasck, and Hyderabad alternative rock act Peekay, to complete the lineup
Since its inception, Bangalore Open Air has been a beacon for heavy metal music in India. It has hosted some of the biggest names in the genre like Mayhem, Born Of Osiris, Animals As Leaders, Leprous, Napalm Death, and Abbath among others. The event is also closely tied to the Wacken Metal Battle, serving as the Indian leg of the global competition that sends one band to perform at the iconic Wacken Open Air in Germany.
BOA 2025 will feature two stages: Ronnie James Dio Stage and Halford’s Altar/Kadence Stage. The event will also feature merchandise stalls, food and beverage options, and opportunities to meet and greet the acts.
Over the years, Bangalore Open Air has grown into more than just a music festival into a celebration of the metal community. Fans from across the country and even abroad flock to Bengaluru to immerse themselves in the raw energy that the festival fosters.
